Okay... HELP!
Calling any & all photographers out there who also happen to own (or have read) a lot of good photography books!
I'm looking for books on anything photography/post processing related; Lighting, Composition, Portraits, Pets, HDR, Macro, Nature, Night-Photography, High-Fashion, etc. I'm dying here for QUALITY books. Tips, tricks, how-tos, tutorials and examples are well, preferred. (and generally the difference between buying a book or not

)
Any suggestions? Links would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not really carying about prices, i'm just looking for names. I'mma check out the library around here, but I'm actually looking for books I can buy and refer to if i'm in need. I found a few at the local book chain here in my city, but not really wanting to spend my gift card (teehee, last birthday FTW!) plus extra for a book i may only read for a bit of info and it'll sit dusty on my shelf (even if it did, there's always the option to sell it off, but as time goes on and techniques mature, it's not exactly ideal.)
I'm thinking about subscribing to a photography/photoshop (retouching?) magazine. Any suggestions for those as well?
I've heard of the Layers Photoshop magazing, and of a few others, but do any of you actually *have* some that you enjoy reading? Photography magazines, i've got tons of from yearrrrrrrrrrs ago, but learning old tricks with modern technology doesn't work too well...
Anyways, I'm hoping to get more photography up soon, as I've got some shoots coming up. A lot of my work i'm going through, tossing out, and mostly, all my new stuff just gets tossed up on facebook (Lissie Lauren, if you wanna add me.) as i'm too lazy to go through the process of adding it here...
I did a photomanipulation awhile back as well... it's sad how my manipulation skills are so rusty. It's funny, cause i use photoshop everyday, just not in the same way as i used to. I now look towards my clone tool as my best friend, (Blemish removal!!!) and find that with horses, it's just not necessary! However, the liquify tool is fun to play with on little characters (; (Did a ref of your baby the other day, Samie. SOOO much fun (: )
Missing all you guys here... I'm thinking I'll not be uploading much to DA until the summer, sadly. Unless i somehow, miraculously, god-willing, get me some free time. I miss the feedback i used to get on my work. I dont get any of that anymore ):
